KristaLee Mellott : Director of Coaching

Mellott came to Alliance Soccer Club following eight years in college soccer coaching. Her last stint was as Assistant Coach at Division I Mount Saint Mary’s University. Her coaching pursuits kept her generally in the Middle Atlantic region with head and assistant positions at Division III schools, Gettysburg College, Hood College and Elmira College.

As Director of Coaching, Mellott works closely with club team head coaches to develop the annual technical planning of each Alliance squad. Her work will revolve around assisting in all technical matters regarding Alliance players and aiding in technical direction for player development and education. She will play a critical role in helping create and implement the underlying developmental programing within the Alliance Club as well as the Alliance Style of play. She will have a role in helping evaluate and enhance the quality of play in games, assessing the needs of players and working with coaches to better enhance the player experience.

Mellott, formerly Gentile, was a four-year starter at Division I Bucknell University. A four time all conference honoree in the Patriot League, Mellott’s college performance still stands out as one of the best in Bucknell Women’s Soccer as she holds positions on the top five all-time records for scoring and game winning goals in a career. She graduated a captain, a two-time regular season Patriot League Champion and 2005 Patriot League Champion. A native of North Haledon, NJ Mellott was a High School All- American. Scoring 78 goals in her three years as part of Immaculate Heart Academy Squad.

KristaLee Mellott resides in Mount Airy, MD with her husband, Joe and two children.
